A Good Friend
Synopsis
A man tells the story of a small argument with a friend ... Review from Flickfair (USA): "French filmmaker Rock Brenner delivers a post-modern wallop with his new short film. In A GOOD FRIEND, a languid conversation twists from a frank discussion of balls “a bag of blood and cum that wobbles between two thighs,” to something much more sinister. With one friend offscreen, the other, played by actor Arnaud Delecrin, wears the film on his face. The offscreen friend launches into a story of redemption, while Delecrin casually rolls a cigarette, “mmm”-ing and nodding on cue. A GOOD FRIEND is darkly funny and Delecrin plays it straight with compelling ennui. His detachment is what propels his friend’s monologue along, growing more and more outlandish. Feeling like a millennial answer to My Dinner with Andre, A GOOD FRIEND makes a delight of the contrast between the mundane and the strange."
