Luis Calderón

Luis Calderón (Seville, 1993) is a director, screenwriter, and producer. He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Seville and completed his training at EFTI School in Madrid before founding La Barbería Films, the production company from which he has built his career as a director.

In 2015, he directed his first short film, Sabbat, which won the Jury’s First Prize at LAUFF "Los Angeles Urban Film Festival" in the United States, and was selected in over thirty countries in festivals like Morbido or Fantaspoa.
In addition to his work in film, he has directed and produced commercial pieces for major brands such as Brugal, Universal Music, C&A, Sony Music, and Warner Music, collaborating with internationally renowned artists and labels.

In 2025, he premieres his debut feature film, The Treehouse, a psychological slasher approached from an auteur perspective. Starring Goya-nominated actress Sandra Escacena (Verónica), Claudio Portalo, Kandido Uranga (Errementari), along with the film debut of Apolonia LaPiedra and international artist Mala Rodríguez, the film is produced by La Barbería Films, Media Attack Group, and La Dalia Films, with funding from the Basque Government.
