Rob Kleinschmidt has been creating stop-motion chaos since he bought a Krasnogorsk 16mm camera as a teenager. He is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker whose short films have appalled and delighted audiences worldwide. Rob creates his stop-motion shorts with his Designer and partner in crime, Tracy Waaka. His works are inspired by the madness he consumed as a child, including Gumby, Davey and Goliath, The Banana Splits, and the films of Herschell Gordon Lewis.
His films include the midnight cult classic, the crazed-clown cannibal film Feast of Fools, and the animated series The Rocky Roads - whose first episode premiered at Slamdance 2019. His award-winning shorts, Bobby Pinwheel and Kerplunky! have played worldwide and recently screened at the famed Cinema Sâo Jorge at IndieLisboa's Boca Do Inferno session. His film Burned Cans For Aluminum Children has screened at the world's leading genre and underground film festivals, including the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Calgary Underground Film Festival, Fantaspoa, Motel/X - Lisbon International Horror Film Festival, and Nightmares Film Festival. His new film, Find Enjoyment In Your Toil, began its festival run by winning the Pepito de Oro award at the 27th edition of the Fantosfreak film festival in Spain.
