Synopsis
Inspired by the aesthetic codes of perfume advertisements, the film subverts them to reveal the symbolic violence and the underlying power dynamics. Beneath its sensual veneer, "The Fragrance" explores the beauty of the act of emancipation and questions the male gaze in the representation of women.
