Synopsis
Young musician Kuba has long accepted that he is losing his grip on reality. He performs only to support Róża, the band’s lead singer and his grieving girlfriend. But when he sees her deceased brother appear on stage during a live radio concert, the boundaries between presence, memory, and imagination begin to dissolve. The film is a deeply personal, auteur-driven, genre-bending musical-horror that explores intimacy shaped by loss. It examines how grief transforms relationships, and how love can become both a refuge and a source of pain—drawing on the visual language of the Polish Film School and the restless spirit of the French New Wave. LOVELY. (MIŁO.) has been presented at the 33rd CAMERIMAGE and the 11th Splat!FilmFest (MIFF – Méliès International Festivals Federation), where it received the Best Short Film Audience Award.
