The Ariel Award is an annual recognition honoring excellence in Mexican cinema, presented since 1946 by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences. It acknowledges artistic and technical achievements within the Mexican film industry and is regarded as Mexico's equivalent to the U.S. Oscars.
