Rob Kleinschmidt

Rob Kleinschmidt has been creating stop-motion chaos since he bought a Krasnogorsk 16mm camera as a teenager. He is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker whose short films have appalled and delighted audiences worldwide. Rob creates his stop-motion shorts with his Designer and partner in crime Tracy Waaka. His works are inspired by the madness he consumed as a child, including Gumby, The Banana Splits, and the films of Herschell Gordon Lewis. His films include the midnight cult classic crazed clown cannibal film Feast of Fools and the animated series The Rocky Roads – whose first episode played at Slamdance 2019. His award-winning shorts, Bobby Pinwheel and Kerplunky! have played worldwide, including Fantaspoa, Nightmares Film Festival, Concorto Film Festival, Popcorn Frights, and recently screened at the famed Cinema Sâo Jorge at IndieLisboa's Boca Do Inferno session.
