Rémi Fréchette Rémi Fréchette is a director, screenwriter and editor specializing in genre cinema. A graduate of Concordia University, his career took off through the Kino movement, where he has made dozens of short films over the past twenty years. His most notable projects include Les Jaunes (2013), L’étrange province (2015), Montréal Dead End (2018) and Première vague (2021), which was released theatrically. He is also very active at festivals with his short films, such as A Night of Sweats, or his short Family Feast from the feature Deathcember, an international anthology of horror films alongside cult directors. He was also director of the Quebec section of the Fantasia festival for 7 years, and co-host of the Point de vues podcast for 8 years (214 episodes) until 2020. He has just completed his latest project, Tie Man, broadcast on TV in 6 episodes and remade as a feature film for public screening. |
