Darik Maurice

Darik Maurice is a writer, director and sometimes actor based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ever since he was young, Darik loved watching and creating content. Whether it was sketch comedies on YouTube, or shorts for local film competitions, creating stories through a visual medium has always been his passion. A big thank you goes out to Blockbuster, where he worked for his teenage years. Darik thrives in the creative world, with particular interest in drama, thrillers, horror and sci-fi (all with a hint of psychological). He’s written and directed many short films, such as “Echoes” (2016), “The Buoy” (2017), “Cereal” (2020), along with several other shorts, collaborations, and a music video with artist Lauren Mayer titled “The Great Unknown” (2023). His next directed project is an indie short horror/sci-fi film titled “FORMAT” scheduled for release early 2024.
