Synopsis

It's so dark and rainy here... First, they go shopping for something fresh after a far too long time of eating canned food. But where? Everything has truly changed here. And what's this sausage logic all about? A search for the one true truth in Uila's galaxy and beyond begins. The film "Wurst Case Scenario" is a grotesque sci-fi crime thriller with masks and puppets straight from the heart of the Ruhr region. It explores the topics of digitalization, artificial intelligence, and disinformation with both humor and a critical approach to society and capitalism. Our film is also a contemporary homage to the language and humor of the Ruhr region. It represents regional cultural aspects and offers opportunities for identification beyond the traditional mining narrative. The majority of those involved grew up in the Ruhr area; all of them live and work here.
