Into the Glisk

Synopsis

Into the Glisk is an eco-feminist spiritual sci-fi dance film. A group of walkers connect with nature to transcend the human, animal, plant and mineral world to become pure communication and travel freely through space and time. Glisk derives from the Cumbrian dialect verb, meaning to glitter, shine, sparkle, glisten. The film imagines these glisks in nature as portals to other dimensions opening up parallel universes in the landscape. The film was commissioned as part of The Delia Derbyshire Trailblazer event put together by @greencroftonthewall in celebration of Delia Derbyshire and the 60 year anniversary of Dr Who. This project has been financially supported by Arts Council England, The National Lottery Fund, North Pennines AONB Partnership, through the Fellfoot Forward LPS, The Sill - National Landscape Discovery Centre, Northumberland National Park, and RSPB Geltsdale.
