Synopsis

In a medieval town drenched in autumn rain, a sacred relic is stolen. Passion, witchcraft accusations, shamanism and a deal with an otherworldly plant that possesses aphrodisiac superpowers lead to chaos in the accursed hamlet. The project was pitched at prestigious genres WiP markets; Cannes' Fantastic 7, European Genre Forum, Annecy MIFA Selection.

Dog of God (2025) is a 1h 35min animation feature film by Raitis Ābele. In a 17th century Swedish Livonian village, constant rain and drunkenness prevail. Selected for Fantasia International Film Festival (2025).
