Synopsis

Arise My Love is a hypnotic descent into sapphic glitch, where lesbian spectrality and the apparitional lesbian confront the disintegration of self through a digital portal. Drawing on the erotic allure of Italian giallo horror and the mythos of Hammer Films’ Karnstein Trilogy, the film traces the queer gaze as it is pulled toward a distorted, glitching screen. This digital unraveling intensifies, descending into a red-soaked nightmare, paying homage to the hyperstylized aesthetics of giallo. Through glitch, the boundaries of identity, desire, and spectacle are fractured, leaving only a haunting scream and the spectral absence of what remains unseen.
