Dark and Stormy Nights Ocean Shores Short Horror Film Festival Foggy beaches, misty forests, and dark and stormy nights - no better place for a horror shorts fest! We are currently in the planning stages for the festival and seeking sponsors to ensure the best possible experience for filmmakers and attendees. This is a city-wide event including a horror craft fair, pub crawl, and various spooky showcases throughout the town during the festival. October 17th & 18th 2026 FOR FILMMAKERS As filmMAKERS ourselves, we understand how important it is to build a festival that honors the creators that put their heart and soul into storytelling. Currently, we plan on providing the following for ALL selected films: Films screened at the lovely renovated Ocean Shores Cinema. FREE LODGING - One single or double occupancy room for all selected films. Check in Friday, check out Monday so you can enjoy the entire fest (subject to filmmaker confirming attendance). LIMITED ground transportation available from SEATAC and PDX (first come first served) PLUS discounted car rentals starting at $44 a day (even if you book last minute). Two passes to your block for each selected film (as well as additional discounted tickets for cast and crew, and additional blocks). Filmmaker networking events. Six miles of beaches, coast-side shops, 39 restaurants and speciality food/drink establishments.
