Philip Józef Brubaker

Philip Józef Brubaker is a world-renowned essay filmmaker. He first came to prominence as a contributor to the legendary Keyframe website hosted by Fandor.com in 2016. Brubaker made his feature-length essay debut with the hybrid memoir film How to Explain Your Mental Illness to Stanley Kubrick in 2022, which played at several international film festivals. Brubaker graduated from the first class of students in Experimental and Documentary Arts at Duke University in 2013. In 2010, he was invited to participate in Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School seminar in New Jersey.
