Paco L. Campano

Paco Campano (1977, Seville) is a multifaceted filmmaker. He began his career as an editor at LZ Producciones, which allowed him to work on numerous films and documentaries, as well as television, also as a director. As a screenwriter, he has been part of the team for the series 400, el Imperio se rompe, by Zanfoña Producciones, for Canal Sur Televisión. He has also worked as an FX designer, including for the film Cabeza de Perro by Santi Amodeo. He co-wrote, co-directed, and designed the special effects for the feature film La furia de Mackenzie, released in commercial theaters in 2009. He also served as a scriptwriter for the first season of La Peste, the series created by Alberto Rodríguez and Rafael Cobos for Movistar, and as an editor. In recent years, he has worked on music videos and audiovisuals for museums and exhibitions, as well as audiovisual promotions for festivals such as Monkey Week and the Seville European Film Festival. In 2021-22, he participated as a screenwriter and editor in Gonzalo García Pelayo's project, "the year of the 10+1 films". In 2012, he won the Jesús Domínguez prize for theatrical texts for the play Miles, later published in the theater magazine Primer Acto. As a musician, he has composed the soundtrack for several short films (such as Nieves by Alberto Palma, which won best soundtrack at the III Certamen de Cortometrajes Andaluces of the Diputación de Málaga) and documentaries (Habitar la Utopía by Mariano Agudo, 2014)
