Oliver Cane
Oliver grew up in a seaside town in Dorset, UK. He left home to study English Literature and Creative Studies at Bath Spa University. After this, he began writing a 6 part dark comedy TV Series - Block - with housemate and fellow graduate, Simon Wharf.
He returned to study Film and TV Production at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2005. His final year film - Warped - premiered at the Leeds International Film Festival in 2008.
In 2011 he directed the pilot episode of Block and Co-Founded BROD Films with Simon as a vehicle to promote this TV Series. Since then, BROD Films have gone on to produce a number of successful short form film projects, including the Royal Television Society awarded Best Short Film (2013) - Pussy Cat
In 2016, he took part in a 5 day Directing Actors workshop, with Udayan Prasad whilst in 2018 he spent two weeks on a talent development workshop where he was mentored by Hungarian filmmaker, Bela Tarr.
His first feature film - Eyes and Prize - premiered at CineQuest in 2018 and won awards on the festival circuit. It's currently distributed through Random Media and available on Amazon Prime.
