Nessie Stafford

Nessie Stafford (she/they) is a transgender filmmaker, writer, and comedian specializing in making bizarre, transgressive, and sometimes downright goofy genre films- films that defy expectations- films that shock, amaze, and titillate even the most curmudgeonly of audiences- the exact kind of film that people wanna watch, and that you should totally program in your festival. ;) She is a co-founder of the film collective Ghoul Capone Pictures, and has served as a screenwriting lab intern at Outfest 2021, & as a Judge at the San Diego Environmental Film Festival in 2024 and 2025.
