Marcos Callejo

Marcos Callejo is a Mallorcan film director born in 1996. At the age of eleven, he took his mother’s camera and began shooting small short films as a natural impulse. At the age of 16, he premiered his short film Voodoo at Sala Rívoli in Mallorca, and from then on he spent the following years making low-budget projects (including Retorno, which won awards at various festivals such as Atlàntida Film Fest), until he completed his degree in Audiovisual Communication in 2018. Since then, he has dedicated his career to short films, directing Espacio y Tiempo (2018), Mamá (2019), and Anecoica (2023), which has over 25 selections and 9 awards, including Best Short Film at the Horrorant Film Fest in Greece and the NYC Film Infest in the United States, being selected in 4 Goya-qualifying festivals and Finalist in ArtJove. Three of his projects are available on the Filmin platform, including his latest short film Anecoica, which is also available on Amazon Prime and ShortsTV worldwide.
