Kyle Marchen
Kyle Marchen is a Toronto-based writer/director who strives to construct gripping narratives that challenge audiences. Most recently, this includes projects such as Heap (2023), Sledgehammer (2022), and Habitat (2020).
In 2022, Marchen was awarded the DRIFF Shifting The Narrative Film Incubator grant, supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. His film Heap (2023) has garnered several accolades, including Best After Dark Film at the Vancouver Short Film Festival, the Jury Prize for Best Film at the Dufferin Film Festival, and the People's Choice Award at the Cabbagetown Film Festival, among others.
