Joseph Díaz

Involved in the film industry for the last 15 years, Joseph Díaz has worked in all areas of film production on more than 70 feature films and series for production companies such as Disney, Netflix, HBO and Apple TV. Since pre-production, where he has had the opportunity to work as a designer alongside directors such as J. A. Bayona, Terry Gilliam, Paco Plaza, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Jaume Collet-Serra and Jaume Balagueró. In the art department, he has worked alongside Oscar winners Eugenio Caballero and Brigitte Broch, earning an Art Director's Guild nomination in 2012. In post-production, he has supervised visual effects shots and created matte paintings, concept art and asset modeling for productions such as "Game of Thrones", "Sleepy Hollow", "Cold Skin", "Lost in Space" and "Warcraft". In 2020, he founded the visual effects studio Hypnotic VFX, where he has supervised and created visual effects for films such as Netflix's "The Wasteland" and series such as Apple TV's "See" and Netflix's "The Witcher", among others. In 2022, she premiered her short film "The 6 Relics of Helena Mason" in the Official Selection of the Sitges Festival, and is currently working on the development of her feature film "Bloody Mary", winner of the Pitchbox at the Sitges Festival, selected by the ICAA as part of the Spanish Screenings 2022 program and presented in the Blood Window Showcase at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023.
