Javier Guillot
Javier Guillot, co-founder of Butoni Films, is a Valencian director and screenwriter who began his career in the world of cinema with Espantacreaturas (2019) and who has worked on international projects such as HBO's Westworld or Disney+'s The Last One.
Among his most notable works as a director are:
-Espantacreaturas (2019), his debut film, some Valencian-style “goonies” with Butoni as the protagonist.
-Oklahoma 120 (2020), a work made during confinement and that has been selected and awarded in more than 20 international festivals.
-The Shortest Night (2020), first short film made by Butoni Films, short films most voted by the public at the IV Rueda con Rueda Festival, winner of the WCTE - Student Film Festival, winner of the TIFF (Tagore International Film Festival) and which features with more than 40 teams worldwide.
-After the end (2021), a criticism of the zombie genre, which has received more than twenty selections and awards, among which the Skyline Film Festival of Benidorm stands out.
He is part of the Valencian Audiovisual Academy and is the director of the Butoni Fest film, music and culture festival in Valencia.
