Irene Lopez, born in 1980 in San Salvador, El Salvador, is a Swedish fiction director. Lopez came together with her family to Sweden as political refugees. She grew up most of his life in Lund and Stockholm. She studied theatre Studies at Stockholm University in 2001-02 and animation at the School of Arts and crafts (konstfack) 2003-05. She has a BA in documentary filmmaking at Uniarts (DI) now called SKH and a MA in fiction direction at SKH.
