Elliott McKee

Elliott Louis McKee is a New Zealand-born, Berlin-based filmmaker whose work explores power, identity, toxic love, and obsession—often through the lens of those caught within rigid personal or political systems. A former touring musician and co-founder of the indie-pop band Charity Children, their background in music informs their rhythmic, emotionally driven, and visually rich storytelling. Their short films have screened at over 50 international festivals, including Sheffield DocFest, Rhode Island, Bucheon Fantastic, and Dublin International. Through dreamlike aesthetics and actor-focused direction, Elliott’s work interrogates masculinity, control, and the emotional complexities of intimacy.
