Connor Nyhan

Born in Victoria BC, Connor Nyhan has wanted to make film for as long as he can remember. After graduating high school with honors in video production, he wanted to go to film school but out necessity needed to save up and work for it. During this time he took his education into his own hands and expanded his knowledge of filmmaking techniques with weekend passion products. Chicken Surprise was originally supposed to be this, however, COVID hit. During quarantine, the script grew (much like the monstrous antagonist of this film) into a far more ambitious feat. In 2021 as quarantine came to an end during the summer, production went into gear and Connor and team organized the film's first block of filming. In March of 2022, the second block was shot. Connor and Producer/Editor Ben Macphail spent the 18 months in post production while working, and Connor ended up going to Vancouver Film School. The final film is a passion project nearly 4 years in the making.
