Synopsis

This is a story of a family, that is trying to hide from the chaos that is dragging the whole world into the black whirlpool of the apocalypse. But the barricades in the corridor and hazmat suits won't help. Absurdity and nightmares penetrate their haven through disturbing dreams full of lust, death and fear. They did not notice how they crossed the line of normality and have long been inside the deadliest spider on earth. The Devil, Stalin, Bill Gates, Madonna, the Russian Soldier and the Coffin Man are already on the threshold of their gloomy home. Father, mother and daughter live in the Russian outback. Escaping from the Covid epidemic, they find themselves inside a deadly spider - at the very bottom of the hell of their own souls. Where even God cannot save them. "Inside the Karakurt" is the story of a family trying to hide from the chaos that is sucking the whole world into a black funnel of the apocalypse. But barricades in the apartment corridor, hazmat suits and mystical rituals with animals will not help. Absurdity and nightmares penetrate their refuge through disturbing dreams full of lust, death and horror. "Inside the Karakurt" is an absurd film, a mystery, punk, art horror, a dream. Covid, degradation, stuffiness, a tornado of all-consuming darkness that sucks in all living things. It is total, so much so that it is sometimes funny. Russian existential drama-collage, surrealism, nightmares of Dali, Magritte and Buñuel. A mixture of Parajanov and Cargo 200. Not a single pet was harmed during filming!
