American Fugitive: The Truth About Hassan
Synopsis
Jean-Daniel Lafond, cinéaste franco-canadien, plonge dans la vie du terroriste recherché David Belfield, un Afro-Américain converti à l'islam né aux États-Unis et accusé d'avoir assassiné Ali Akbar Tabatabai, ancien ambassadeur iranien loyal au Shah d'Iran destitué et critique virulent de l'Ayatollah Khomeini en 1980. Belfield, désormais connu sous le nom de Hassan Abdulrahman, a fui vers l'Iran après le meurtre et y réside depuis. Dans ce film, Belfield tente d'expliquer et de justifier ses activités terroristes. Lafond présente également plusieurs théories du complot sur les commanditaires présumés ayant ordonné à Belfield d'éliminer l'ancien diplomate.
