We hope everyone is having a happy and safe holiday season! We’ve all been watching our favorite holiday themed horror films. We’re counting down the days until January 15th, 2026 when the Sawdust City Fright Fest officially kicks off by opening for submissions! Happy New Year! Thank you to all Filmmakers, friends, fans, and general supporters of the Sawdust City Fright Fest and independent film who showed up in person and in spirit to make our 5th year such a special event! Our committee dedicates a lot of time to putting together spooky and spectacular film festival, and we have been so fortunate to have such amazing films to share with you all. Without you, our audience, we wouldn’t exist. This year was full of outstanding films, 23 shorts and 2 feature length films over 2 days, and even more outstanding filmmakers. Over 50% of this year’s line up was Wisconsin connected and there were fantastic selections from all over the country.
