Bakunawa is a mythical dragon-like creature that devoured moons in Visayan mythology. As the year opens with renewed energy and reflection, Bakunawa Fest marks the moment by celebrating cinematic excellence from around the world. The 12th edition brings together visionary filmmakers and bold genre storytelling, honoring works that ignite imagination, challenge form, and resonate across cultures. 'Missing Parts' (Lélek a Mélyben) by Hungarian filmmaker Tamás Rolfesz gets the festival's Top Prize, the Grand Bakunawa.
