Patrick Pizzolorusso

I'm originally from NYC where I was working mainly as an actor on stage. I started making small shorts in order to create my own work and practice. Since moving to LA I've been focusing more on film and on expanding some basic ideas I've had. I've always been a fan of historical events, especially ones that are a little on the fringe of history. I was, of course, drawn to the Battle of LA because of it's ridiculousness and the fact that it's hardly been mentioned in the history books. Stories rooted in some reality are what I'm drawn to. Being able tell a fantastical story rooted in the real world with practical effects is what excites me as a filmmaker.
