Dhurga Menon

Dhurga Menon is an aspiring writer/director. Her most recent work includes writing the narrative poem for a BAFTA long-listed short film called ‘To My Dying Mother’ as well as writing and directing 2 short-films called ‘A Minor Intervention’ and ‘The Hollow of the Three Hills’. When She was young, she took part in storytelling competitions and co-directed stage plays. Dhurga also interned at a Malaysian film production company, ‘Apparat’ where she learned about the importance of working up the ranks. Being a Malaysian of mixed ethnicity, I can deliver a distinctive voice and narrative. I hope to become a versatile writer/director who tells authentic stories while also making positive changes for the film industry.
