Vadir Sottelo

Vadir Sottelo is a Mexican film director and producer, cultural manager, and human rights specialist. His work bridges artistic creation, critical thought, and institutional engagement, with a strong focus on horror, fantasy, and suspense as tools for social reflection on identity, memory, violence, and power structures.

He has created 38 audiovisual works and directed three feature films: The Carnival of Horrors, A Sinister Tale, and Inhabited Bodies. His films have been officially selected at over 210 international festivals across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, earning more than 50 awards and recognitions, positioning him as a prominent voice in contemporary Mexican auteur cinema with global reach.
