| Hubert Lapointe “With 15 years of experience, Hubert Lapointe is a renowned creator of animated worlds, recognized for his contributions as an animator, director, and producer. Trained in traditional animation at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, he has distinguished himself through international collaborations on major projects, including Rick & Morty, Solar Opposites, and most recently, as the animation director for the 7th season of Totally Spies. Since 2017, Hubert has focused on directing, starting in advertising with Shed and then moving to television series with L’Agent Jean, which won three consecutive Prix Gémeaux awards for Best Animation. As a writing consultant for the new season of Cracké (Squeeze Animation) and director for Coco Bou (Image-In Productions) and Lotus et Cali (Télé-Québec), Hubert recently released his first short film, Elon Vs Mark, which won the Audience Award at the Sommets du Cinéma d’Animation de Montréal and the Best Animated Comedy award at the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation and Technology. In 2021, he founded Bon Jam Animation, a studio specializing in 2D animation, where he works to highlight local talent through commercial projects and original productions with international reach.” |
