| Max Isaacson Max Isaacson is an award-winning Cuban-American director best known for his work in action-genre filmmaking, including Tubi Original Paradise, a tropical punk western starring Patricia Allison, Tate Donovan, and Tia Carrere (Cinequest 2024). His other work includes Pipe (starring Zoë Bell and Tracie Thoms), and Whispers (Fantastic Fest 2013, Florida Film Festival 2014). He has directed work for companies including Con-Air, HBO, Kia, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren, and written and directed work for FX, AMC and BBC America. As a queer Latine/Jewish storyteller Max focuses on stories revolving around morality, especially in places that don’t reward it; an apt parallel for the world we live in today. Because of that focus Max dedicates himself to both narrative filmmaking and non-profit work. For the latter half of 2020 Max directed and co-produced Supercharge 2020, a live virtual event for Supermajority, the largest female-led political organization in the US. Supercharge 2020 featured such guests as Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Representative Ayanna Pressley, Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, Dolores Huerta, and many many more. It was a resounding success, registering over 150,000 voters for the 2020 election in a single day. He has also directed and produced projects for The Fashion Scholarship Fund, Grantmakers For Girls of Color, Black Feminist Fund, The American LGBTQ Museum, Kashif Incubator, and the Black Girl Freedom Fund. |
