As a storyboard artist and illustrator, he worked on productions such as The International (Tom Tykwer), Hindenburg (Philipp Kadelbach), and several episodes of the long-running crime series Tatort. He has also directed numerous commercial productions and created animations for broadcasters including ZDF, 3sat, and Arte.
In 2006, his animated short film Der Turmspringer received the rating “Valuable” from the German Film and Media Review (FBW). Following a number of award-winning short films such as House of Fear, Night Tale, and Casting of Death, he made his feature directorial debut with Skin Creepers. His second feature film, Monster on a Plane, premiered at major genre festivals including Sitges and BIFFF and was released internationally.
To date, Ezra’s films have received more than 20 awards at international film festivals. He is currently developing several new genre projects, including the anthology feature FERAL – The Movie and the creature thriller Monster on a Train.
