Réalisé par Nicola Florin, Emile Devetter
Nicola Florin and Emile Devetter are two filmmakers based in Brussels whose passion for cinema emerged in childhood. Nicola was born in Belgium, while Emile is originally from Lille, France. Both trained at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion: Nicola earned a bachelor’s degree followed by a master’s degree with a focus on cinematography, while Emile specialized in editing.
Nicola began his professional career as a grip on numerous feature films, TV series, commercials, and music videos, developing a hands-on approach to image-making and directing. Meanwhile, Emile refined his directing practice through various short film competitions, notably the 48H challenges, in which he participated four times, as well as the last two editions of the Nikon Film Festival, gradually shaping his style and building an ambitious team.
In 2025, they co-directed Maison Douce Maison as part of the participatory BIFFF, marking the beginning of their artistic collaboration. Prior to that, Nicola directed The Act (2024), which was selected at several festivals, including BIFFF, while Emile later co-directed Les Immaculés, a horror mini-series, with Baptiste Pelletier. Together, they continue to develop narrative projects driven by a strong visual identity.
