A. Knochenhauer, Luis E. Méndez

A. Knochenhauer and Luis E. Méndez are filmmakers who met a few years ago while attending a horror screenwriting program in Mexico City. Sharing a passion for the genre, they quickly developed a close creative partnership rooted in their love of horror cinema.

Together, they create horror short films, produce film reviews, and continuously engage with the genre through both practice and spectatorship.

Individually, A. Knochenhauer has directed short films such as The Attack of the Killer Sausage and 24/7 Clown. They are currently studying at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking (ENPEG, La Esmeralda), and in 2023 were part of the pre-selection committee for short films at the Black Canvas Contemporary Film Festival. Luis E. Méndez is a graduate of the Mexican Association of Independent Filmmakers (AMCI) and has directed projects including P de Perras, A New Follower and The Hangman’s Game.

They aim to continue creating horror films.
