| Alice Messier & Simon de Leonardis This writer-director duo began their journey with a “why not”. A small project motivated by a curiosity to learn, a love of art and a desire to create and share. That’s how The Last Night Stand was born, a first short film with the look and humor of a “Saturday morning cartoon… for adults”. Alice, an actress by training, has been in front of the camera for a long time, but has always had the desire to one day find herself behind it. Her big leap into the world of screenwriting came with the film Frame, which she co-wrote and in which she also shares the screen with David La Haye. Simon is first and foremost a musician, playing bass with the funk-punk band Moronic Inferno. A lifelong horror and film fan, he had no idea it was possible for him to wear the director’s hat until he gained on-set experience in various positions on Frank Appache films. Trusting his creative instincts, he brought his first project to fruition. |
