Simon Jones, Kaylee Nicholas

Simon Jones and Kaylee Nicholas are filmmakers based in Liverpool and core members of People Versus TV (PVTV), a DIY film collective focused on experimental and underground cinema. Their work combines action figures, miniature sets and lo-fi effects with game engines and creative technology to create absurd, satirical short films.

Alongside their own projects, they organise Creative Meet-Ups, collaborative sessions where filmmakers and artists develop ideas and make work together. Dogshit emerged from this process, with Jones and Nicholas directing and coordinating a wider group of contributors.

They also run Fringe Flicks, a regular screening night championing emerging filmmakers and strange, unconventional work, and are part of a growing grassroots film scene in the North of England.
